To the far left is the original cultured marble bench.  We kept the new bench the same size so that the drain would not have to be moved, but tiled it to match the new surround.

The sandblasted door allows for privacy in the shower, since we removed the door that had closed off the small shower area and made it a cased opening.

We removed the original cultured marble shower surround and raised the shower ceiling roughly 12 inches, then installed new tile on the walls and floor, along with a new sandblasted door..

Here are the new shower fixtures, replacing the original chrome ones.  The picture of the fixtures also shows the new decorative mosaic tile border, also seen in the tub and on the vanity backsplash.

The tile floor in this bathroom was already lain.  We purchased the same tile to do the shower and tub surrounds.  Here is the new curb leading into the shower, the straight lines complementing the diagonal lay of the flooring.
