The backsplash tiles are hand-painted ceramic.  Because they are hand-made, there is variation in the color, which enhances the beauty of the backsplash.

We added several inches of countertop space at the island.

We remodeled this kitchen by installing new granite countertops and a new backsplash, plus removing their light box and installing recessed can lights.   We also hardwired the undercabinet lights that they already had hanging, adding one to the cabinet by the refrigerator.
