This page highlights the beautiful custom island that we made for this kitchen.  We included a bar, as you can see, but before the bar was made of a sheetrocked wall with formica on top, and now it is part of the same piece as the island.

The island presents itself as a piece of furniture.  The paint has a custom faux treatment on it as well, which draws in the colors we used in the rest of the house and adds to the beauty of the cabinet.  The granite countertop and travertine backsplash match the rest of the kitchen.
