The breakfast area had the built-in serving station shown in the pictures below.  The lower cabinet had only a wooden countertop.  We added granite to match the kitchen countertops and installed 4” granite backsplashes.

The removal of the hanging cabinets dividing the kitchen and the breakfast area and the removal of the wallpaper makes the breakfast area look much larger.   We installed a new fan, removed the chair-rail and added crown molding, cased out the window, and removed a window and door leading to the addition that the clients use as a gym area, replacing them with a French door.
