We added a lot of depth to this home with a dramatic paint scheme.  The staircase was painted in a mid-range neutral, and then we deepened the shade for the great room that is directly opposite the stairs.

The dining room, which is immediately to the left of the stairs when you walk in the front door, is painted a deeper shade than the main body, though is not as dark as the great room.  The new color really helps to highlight the decorative crown molding.

This game room, found at the top of the stairs to the left, is cut off from the stairwell, so we were able to do a more whimsical green.
