We created a media room in the basement of this house, using paint to make the space especially dramatic.  

 

Here you see how the look of the doors change with the new paint scheme.  We also added this new exterior door in the pictures to the left.

To the left is the new built-in that we custom-built to the client’s specifications.  A projector screen descends from the cornice above the built-in.  The doors cover stacks of drawers, open shelving, and rods for hanging clothes.

 

To the right you can see the striking appearance of the staircase.  We painted it in an earlier phase at this house, and then continued the scheme into this media room.

The dark tile flooring that replaced the wood flooring also gives this room a much different feel.  We also installed these room-darkening shades, continuing a scheme of browns and grays that we had begun upstairs in this house.
