We removed the carpet from this stairwell and installed new wooden treads, stained to match the extensive wood trim throughout the house.  We also installed the beautiful mosaic tile risers, giving the stair well its truly unique look.  See more pictures of this house here and here.

Page Six

With newly-stained wood on the stairs, we also sanded and re-stained the skirt surrounding the stairs and the railing.  The pictures below show the change at the top of the stairs, where we removed tile and installed a wood nosing with the mosaic tiles.
